Strategic Foundation of the Collaboration: Enhancing Local Commodity Value and Research Downstreaming

This strategic partnership is rooted in the practical necessity of sustainable sacha inchi processing. Beginning with the mission to support local farmers by purchasing sacha inchi harvests at fair prices, the development of processed sacha inchi oil products initially faced technical challenges regarding industrial quality standards and market absorption.
To address these challenges, PT Quilla Alam Indonesia Sejahtera partnered with academics to establish a scientific research foundation. The involvement of Unpad academics, possessing high intellectual capability and credibility, plays a crucial role in validating product quality to meet the rigorous standards demanded by various industries.
Through continuous research mentoring with the Unpad Faculty of Pharmacy—including the involvement of experts such as Prof. Sriwidodo—sacha inchi products that once had limited market value have been successfully upgraded in quality. Comprehensive processing, from the seeds to the shells, has yielded high-grade oil ready to be absorbed by the cosmetic, food, and pharmaceutical industries.

Throughout Unpad Innovation Day 2026, various exhibition booths featured innovations across fields such as health technology, local food, and skincare.
As a concrete manifestation of its collaborative research with Unpad, PT Quilla Alam Indonesia Sejahtera participated by showcasing its flagship product lines at the health and skincare innovation booth. Through this exhibition, derivative products based on sacha inchi oil—alongside food fortification products rich in Omegas 3, 6, and 9—were introduced directly to visitors and prospective industrial partners.
Through this collaborative research and active participation, PT Quilla Alam Indonesia Sejahtera and Universitas Padjadjaran hope to continue accelerating the downstream processing of innovative, research-driven products that positively impact the welfare of local farmers and the national economy.
For PT Quilla Alam Indonesia Sejahtera, this strategic collaboration is more than just a formal partnership on paper; it is a crucial step in demonstrating the importance of grassroots economic empowerment. Standing at the forefront of local commodity downstreaming, the company carries a core mission to ensure the sustainable absorption of farmers' yields, transforming them into globally competitive industrial products. Armed with a commitment to research excellence and sustainable innovation, PT Quilla is optimistic about pioneering the national industry in delivering world-class products, thereby strengthening national economic independence and creating a broad, tangible impact.
